3. Quality Standards

To keep the quality of the images in our catalogue at the highest standard, we have created a list of criteria on which your images will be reviewed apon. Before you upload your files, please make sure that they do not contain any of the following problems or issues by looking at them up close at 100% zoom.

  • Poor focus
  • Poor lighting
  • Poor editing or clear-cutting
  • Copyright or trademark infringement
  • Excessive noise, grain & distortion
  • Compression artifacts
  • Over filtering or smoothing and sharpening
  • Dust and debris
  • Poor subject isolation & cropping
  • Upsampling or upsizing images
  • Poor composition or layout
  • Explicit adult content
  • Profane or violent images
  • Duplicate uploads

PLEASE NOTE: It is very unlikely that a photo straight from your camera will be approved for our catalogue. Almost all of your images will need to have some sort of post-processing (enhancement work done after the photo is downloaded from the camera) in a photo-editing programme to crop, enhance colours, improve lighting and overall commercial usefulness to designers.

Do's and Don'ts

Things to do:
  • Do look over your entire image at 100% zoom for any quality defects;
  • Do enhance and improve your images before uploading them.
Things not to do:
  • Don't upload images 'hoping' a Stock Manager will miss the faults;
  • Don't upload images from your camera with out any post-processing.
