Camera sensor cleaning Do you guys know anyone in Hamilton that is authorised to clean sensors? Mine is really bad again & I'm fed up of sending it away :( |

Hiya. Most of the camera shops in Hamilton will act as agents for the camera brands and you'll find they will send your camera off to the Canon/Nikon/Fuji service centre etc (and then charge you for the cleaning plus their profit margin). Aside from sending it direct to the manufacturers service centre, you can actually complete a sensor clean yourself. As long as you a careful not to touch the sensor you should be able to do the job for a fraction of the cost. You may need to buy a couple of pieces of equipment from a camera shop first thou. Below are some resources to help you if you feel the urge to give it a go.
