A collection of images all taken in Gisborne

I like the combination
A bit in colour and a bit not
Birds are frequently photographed from front or side view but I rather liked this different angle and shot it from behind.
Reflections are always appealing and I like the mirrored image of the Heron.
Photographed on a day when high swell and extra high tide made news.
One of my favourite photos.
Sponge Bay Island on a paua shell where there was once plenty of paua on the island.
I spotted this eye-catching view of trees silhouetted against a red sunrise when driving home early one morning.
Camera topic was 'orange' so I popped down to the botanical gardens to photograph orange flowers. Imagine my pleasant surprise when a bee laden with orange pollen flew into my picture.
Gisborne enjoys beautiful sunrises and sunsets - I had to run to catch the moment the boat reached the sun's reflection on the water.
You may not see it but believe me it's there - minus the spider. This was the first photo taken with my new 300 lens.
A different view of Gisborne's main street - not the typical Town Clock shot.
